Sri Lanka's largest Medical expo in march

Sri Lanka's first and largest exhibition dedicated to medical equipment needs will be held at the BMICH from March 15 to 17 2013. The most sophisticated healthcare equipment from India, China and Dubai will be showcased at the Medical exhibition for the benefit of hospitals, healthcare centres, traders and healthcare professionals. The Exhibition is an opportunity for local and international stakeholders in healthcare to explore the latest medical equipment.

In its 10th edition, the Chennai-based Medical exhibition travels to Sri Lanka to partner with the Medicare National Healthcare Exhibition 2013. Medical is organized by Medexpert Business Consultant Pvt. Ltd. and the Department of Health Western Province under the Chairmanship of Dr. Amal Harsha De Silva, Provincial Director of Health Services, Western Province. The Ministry of Health and a number of professional medical associations in Sri Lanka have pledged their support for the Exhibition. The event is managed by Aitken Spence Conventions and Exhibitions.

The Medical exhibition will be a platform for South-east Asia's most comprehensive range of medical equipment for use in hospitals, nursing homes, laboratories and GP surgeries. From the safest and latest in diagnostics, laboratory work, scanning and monitoring, surgery, refrigeration and storage, as well as medical accessories, fittings, and clothing will be on display at Medical. The Exhibition is a convenient way for healthcare businesses to meet with partners and carry out discussions.

Medical will also host Sri Lanka's first Medical Industry Leader's Conference where local and international healthcare specialists have been invited to speak. Topics to be discussed at the Conference include, 'how to invest in hospital equipment', 'cost vs. quality of healthcare', 'patient safety', 'selecting a suitable specialization for hospitals', and 'IT made simple for hospitals'.

Provincial directors, bio-medical engineers, and regional directors in health services, as well as traders and hospital owners are invited to attend Medical.
