Delmege Forsyth & Co. Ltd, has appointed Ashan Kannangara as CEO - Consumer Cluster with effect from February 2013.

Delmege Consumers, one of Sri Lanka’s leaders in branded packaged food, marketing, specializes in retail and wholesale distribution.

The company represents many global brands, in addition to marketing a few of their own.

With an islandwide network of distributors and partnerships, Delmege takes a large market share in the Canned Fish industry, along with the Motha dessert range, including Essences and Colourings, TVP, Tea, Desserts, Bakery products and Ferrero Rocher Confectionaries.

Ashan has nearly 28 years experience in Sales & Marketing, holding various positions in Multinationals and leading corporate sectors in Sri Lanka.

He commenced his career at Singer Sri Lanka Ltd, as District Manager and subsequently, was appointed as General Distribution & Channel Sales Manager at Pure Beverages Co. Ltd.

During the period 1995 – 1998, he was the Channel Sales Manager Ole Spring Bottles (Pvt) Ltd, and thereafter took the assignment at Lanka Milk Food (CWE) Ltd, as a National Sales Manager.

He served at Three Coins for 03 years and joined Maliban Biscuits as Head of Sales in the year 2008 and was instrumental in the massive turnaround in sales performance.

Ashan then with his versatile skills, turned the Company’s sales discipline to be result oriented and well focused.

His has core capabilities in Multiple industries (FMCG and Industrial), Multiple categories (Food, Beverages and consumer durables), Multiple channels (General Trade, Modern Trade, Hotels and Industrial, Distributor and Routes to Market), Multiple Functions (Field Sales-General Trade, Key Account Management, Industrial Marketing, Selling Brand and Category Management).

Ashan will pursue an organization interest of strongly growing an aggressive product portfolio, whilst expanding widely over 40,000 outlets of distributors that Delmege caters to presently. Already plans are put in place to double the current capacity of Delmege Consumer client’s geographical reach.

Delmege Forsyth and Company Limited has appointed T. Sayandhan as CEO of Healthcare Cluster, effective 19th February 2013.

T. Sayandhan has 21 years of multinational experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, working for Glaxo Ceylon Ltd, SmithKline Beecham Pvt Ltd, GlaxoSmithKline (Ph) and Hemas Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd, holding positions as Medical Representative, Hospital Coordinator, Product Executive, Brand Manager, Business Development Manager and Country Manager.

Sayandhan joined Hemas Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd, as the Country Manager in 2002, taking overall business responsibilities for principle agents Allergan (USA) and Abbott Medical Optics (USA).
