Palestine, axis of unity between Muslim countries

IRAN: Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili says Palestine is "the axis of unity" among Muslim countries. Jalili made the remarks in a meeting with Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzouk, the deputy chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau, in Tehran late on Sunday, ISNA reported.

"Resistance for the freedom of Palestine is the best axis for the unity of the world of Islam, and this strategy can prevent conflicts in the Muslim world," Jalili said.

Marzouk stressed the importance of Iran's role in solving the conflicts in the Islamic world, and presented a report regarding the latest developments in Palestine and the region to Jalili.
