Seetha Devi BV beat Uduvil Girls School 5-0

Seetha Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Kandy started the defence of their championship title when they crushed Uduvil Girls High School 5-0 in their All Island Schools girls under 19 Hockey Tournament organized by the Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association which began at Jaffna College ground, Jaffna on Wednesday. At half time Seetha Devi BV led 2-0.

Seetha Devi BV scored their goals through Nilusha Weerasinghe (2), Sapuni Guruge (1), Wathsala Jayasinghe (1) and Ayesha Indunil (1). The matches were played in three courts at the huge Jaffna College ground and the teams from outside the Jaffna peninsula found the heat unbearable.
