A match bag of 10 for 147 (4/75 and 6/72) and an unbeaten 45 runs by
Ramesh Selvaraj and another good knock of an unbeaten 61 runs by Bobby
Fernando helped Kalutara PCC to beat Kandy YCC on first innings by 163
runs in their inter-club Sara Trophy tournament cricket match organized
by Sri Lanka Cricket and played at Kalutara. Batting first Kandy YCC
were all out for 151 runs with Niroshan Perera 57 while Renuka Dananjaya
too claimed 3 for 17.
In reply homesters declared at 314 for 8 with Madava Munasinghe too
contributing 45 runs. Chandima Abeykoon was the most successful bowler
for the visitors with 3 for 48. In their second essay Kandy YCC did
better to score 265 with Amila Rukshan scoring 59 runs and Ruwantha
Ekanayake 79.
