Dinesh's 166, a superb knock

A brilliant 166 runs by Dinesh Panditharathne which included seventeen hits to the ropes and one over facing 221 balls helped Sebastanite CC to gain a first innings win of 42 runs against Crusaders SC in their inter-club Sara Trophy Division one cricket match played at Tyronne Fernando Stadium, Moratuwa.

Sebastanites batting first declared at 322 for 7. Danusha Indunil was unbeaten on 61 runs. Suresh Silva was the most successful bowler for Crusaders with 5 for 104.

In reply visitors were all out for 280 runs with Dananjaya Madushanka missed a well deserved century by one. Pubudu Ranaweera and Danusha Indunil claimed 3 for 65 and 3 for 90 respectively.

At the close, Sebastanites were 169 for 1 with Taraka Dushantha scoring unbeaten 102 runs.
