Janasevana reimbursement target exceeds expectation

The reimbursement target of Janasevana housing loans exceeded 100 percent in 24 districts, Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Ministry sources said.

According to sources, the Vavuniya district met the highest percentage (193 percent) of reimbursement targets of Janasevana housing loans for January.

The Kilinochchi district met 174 percent of the reimbursement target and the Mullaitivu district secured third place acquiring 162 percent.

Janasevana housing loan beneficiaries are keen on the reimbursement process of the National Housing Development Authority.

"Janasevana is progressing with the support of the people. National Housing Development Authority District offices started special programmes to enhance the efficiency of the reimbursement process under the guidance of Minister Wimal Weerawansa," the sources said.
