More job prospects for those who know Dhamma

The government has decided to extend priority for those who have
passed the Dhamma School final examination in the recruitment to the
state service, Disaster Management Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said.
Minister Amaraweera was addressing a Munidasa Cumaratunga
commemoration ceremony at Waurucannala in Dickwella.
He said the late Pundit Munidasa Cumaratunga rendered a yeoman
service for educational development, social and cultural renaissance of
the country. Measures have been initiated to develop his native place as
a site of national heritage and cultural interest. A library, a museum,
a statue, an auditorium, a conference hall and many more constructions
will be carried out at his birth place, he said.
The minister said an unprecedented development drive is under way in
the island. The country is steering towards an accelerated socio -
economic improvement and progress. |
