The government's intention is to introduce Ranmihithenna Tele Cinema
Village to the world and attract new markets, Mass Media and Information
Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said.
Addressing the Cabinet press briefing at the ministry auditorium
yesterday, the minister said there is greater potential in this industry
due to the attractive sceneries and locations in the country for
filming.
He said no other Asian country except India has given its attention
to this concept as yet. The minister said the government is confident
that Sri Lanka could achieve positive results by promoting Ranmihithenna
Tele Cinema Village. He said the peaceful atmosphere in the country
