Thera escapes ACID ATTACK

Ven Abeygoda Piyarathana thera of the Sri Indrasararamaya in Panadura, Maha Arukgoda narrowly escaped an acid attack inside the temple on Tuesday night.

Ven Piyarathana was a resident monk of the temple.

The yet unidentified acid thrower failed in his aim with the acid depositing on a wall.

The attacker fled the scene immediately. Panadura Police are investigating.
