The Education Ministry and the Chinese Confucius Institute will take measures to teach Chinese language in schools, Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena said.

“Modern technology used for language teaching and the learning process in the world will be used in the Chinese language teaching programme,” he said. The Chinese language teaching programme will be carried out with the assistance of the Chinese Confucius Institute as a another step to enhance bilateral relationship between the two countries.

The Chinese Confucius Institute has been assisting in teaching Chinese language in many countries, the minister said.
