Panasonic unveils range of ECONAVI Air Conditioners
Equipped with Temperature Wave feature, Human Activity Sensor and
Sunlight Sensor, Panasonic new air conditioners can effectively detect
and minimize inefficient use of energy.
The recently concluded Architect Exhibition 2013 held at the BMICH
Colombo, Panasonic, a worldwide leader in the development and
manufacture of electronic products, and Softlogic, Panasonic's sole
distributor in Sri Lanka, launched ten new models of air conditioners
under the ECONAVI series.
The new range of energy saving ECONAVI air conditioners boasts the
Temperature Wave feature which can give even greater energy savings of
up to 38%[1].
Panasonic's other unique feature, the Intelligent Inverter
Technology, can also save up to 50% more energy compared to non-inverter
models[2].
The new range of ECONAVI air conditioners are equipped with smart eco
sensors which effectively detect any wastage of energy according to room
conditions.
The Human Activity Sensor and Sunlight Sensor monitor human activity,
location, as well as the presence and intensity of sunlight in the room.
This allows the air conditioner to automatically self-adjust its
cooling power so as to save energy efficiently without sacrificing
comfort and convenience.
"The introduction of these new models of ECONAVI air conditioners is
in line with our goal of becoming the No.1 Green Innovation Company in
the electronics industry by 2018. We are confident that these
eco-friendly energy saving products will significantly appeal to Sri
Lankan consumers and encourage them to save energy without any sacrifice
in their comfort and convenience levels.
We want to empower our consumers to play an active role in
contributing to environmental sustainability.
Through our dynamic technology, Panasonic hopes to contribute to the
progress and development of society by enhancing the quality of life of
our consumers," said . Maresuke Nagatoshi, Manager, Panasonic Asia
Pacific, who participated in the event.
In addition to advancement in energy saving technologies, the 2013
models also introduce improvements to the unique nanoe-G (pronounced
"nano-E-G") air purification system. The new nanoe-G In-filter
Deactivation feature can eliminate up to 99%[3] of bacteria and viruses
trapped in the air conditioner filter, offering a more robust air
purification system which keeps rooms clean always. The nanoe-G system
also works effectively on micro organisms in the air and on surfaces.
The entire range of Panasonic ECONAVI Inverter models (1.0HP to
2.5HP) and Deluxe Non-Inverter models (1.0HP and 1.5HP) have been
awarded 5-star product rating for its high energy efficiency by the
Malaysia Energy Commission, based on the results of energy performance
tests conducted by the Standards and Industrial Research Institute of
Malaysia (SIRIM).
At the Architect Exhibition, Panasonic, which has participated in the
event for the last five years, displayed the entire range of
state-of-the-art products for housing and office solutions under the
concept of "Every Building Matters".
The product range includes the new ECONAVI Air Conditioners, FSV
Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Air Conditioners, Ceiling Fans,
Ventilation Fans, Private Branch Exchange (PBX), Cordless Phones, FAX
Machines, Multi-function Printers, Surveillance Cameras, and Electronic
Whiteboard named "Panaboard".
"As one of the international leaders in innovation holding the No.1
market share in Japan and other major countries in Asia such as Malaysia
and Thailand for most of the product categories on display, it is our
responsibility to comply with strict environmental standards and meet
the varied manufacturing requirements of each country, before installing
our products in homes and offices.
Panasonic is committed to offer our consumers the best solutions
because, Every Building Matters," Nagatoshi commented further.
