Kulisa - under 10 chess champion

Kulisa Saranath Nanayakkara of St Nicholas College International, Negombo became the under 10 champion chess player at the Sri Lanka National Youth Blitz Chess Championship 2013.

Further he became runner up (under 10) at the Sri Lanka National Youth Rapid Chess Championship 2013. He won the Gold and Silver medals in the respective events while the tournaments were organized by the Sri Lanka Chess Federation and the tournaments were held at Royal College, Colombo.

In the Blitz Tournament he was able to win seven games out of seven and in the Rapid Tournament he won 6.5 games out of possible seven.
