Sixteen-year-old Hansamal Perere stroked a brilliant 103 with 10 fours for St Sylvesters College, Kandy to share the honours in their inter-school cricket match against D S Senanayake College which ended in a draw at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium yesterday.

D S Senanayake College's top fast bowler Lanky Binura Fernando bowled well to capture 5 for 100 but often found to penetrate the defence put up by Hansamal Perera and not until the young batsman reached three figures, which helped Sylvestrians to post a total of 254.

D S Senanayake College 300 for 8 decl. In 65 overs (Dulitha Paranage 55, Nadeesha Dhamshika 49, Shishran Mudali 74, Manujaya Perera 3 for 57, Indunil Samarananda 2 for 54) and 29 for no loss in 8 overs (Uwin Bandara 17 not out).

St Sylvesters College 254 all out in 95 overs (Indunil Samarananda 45, Hansamal Perera 103, Harsha Madushan 36, Sumedha Dissanayake 17, Binura Fernando 5 for 100, Sachintha Karunaratne 2 for 14, Supun Madusanka 2 for 17).
