Vidyartha eyes third win of season

Vidyartha College, Kandy look set to register their third win for the
season when they put themselves in a strong position at the end of first
day's play in their school's under 19 cricket tournament match against
Taxila Vidyalaya which began at Police grounds, Kandy yesterday. The
match will be continued today at 9.45 am.
Having dismissed Taxila Vidyalaya for a paltry 54, Vidyarthian scored
147 gaining a first innings lead of 93.
Taxila Vidyalaya in their second innings scored 2 for 1 in 5 overs
and with a full day in front, they have to make a further 92 to avoid an
innings defeat.
Taxila Vidyalaya 54 all out in 29.3 overs (Vinod Kavinda 10, Chanaka
Ratnayake 4 for 10, Dasun Nawaratne 3 for 7, Isuru Weerasinghe 2 for 12)
and 2 for 1 in 5 overs).
Vidyartha College 147 all out in 50.3 overs (Ravinda Dissnayake 28,
Muditha Elpitiya 18, Prince Roshan 24, Kasun Nawaratne 22, Malaka
