‘Int’l forces trying to obstruct Lanka’s development drive’

Although certain groups are trying to discredit Sri Lanka
internationally by tabling resolutions at the forthcoming UNHRC Sessions
levelling various allegations, President Mahinda Rajapaksa is working
according to the stance that we should boldly face such challenges, Mass
Media and Information Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said.
The minister was addressing a meeting after inaugurating
rehabilitation work on the Wilanagama-Medilla road in Harispattuwa which
is estimated to cost Rs 800 million. The minister said that when the
President was spearheading national economic development after ending a
30 year war and restoring unity and peace, international forces were
trying to obstruct our path through various devious means.
People should be mindful of these challenges posed to the country and
nation.
He said the President who had created an environment for the people
to stand up as proud Sri Lankans anywhere in the world, had now enabled
people to be partners of the development march towards making Sri Lanka
the Wonder of Asia.
