Petroleum products price revision

Selling Prices of the following Petroleum products have been revised with effect from February 22 midnight and the revised Colombo Spot Retail selling prices are given below.

Although the prices of petroleum products in international market are continuously increased, the government has not increased the domestic prices of petroleum products similarly and has absorbed huge losses and offered products at heavily subsidized prices to the public and industrial sectors, states a Ceylon Petroleum Corporation press release.

It said: Therefore, we are compelled to revise the prices of the following petroleum products to mitigate the losses to some extent with effect from February 22 mid night.

Outstation spot selling prices of Petroleum products have also been revised incorporating the outstation price differential as per the above increase.
