Cambrians win by eight wickets

Prince of Wales College beat Mahanama College, Colombo by eight wickets in their inter-school under 19 cricket match played at Katunayake.

Mahanama batting first were all out for 188 runs with Gehan Sanjeeva making the top score of 49 runs while Satchith Pushpakumara claimed 4 for 43 for Cambrians. Cambrians in their first essay declared at 274 for 8 with Shanuka Dulaj making 93.

In their second essay Mahanama were Skittled out for a paltry 111 runs with Shanuka Dulaj capturing 4 for 26. Set to win 26 runs Cambrians notched up the required score.

Mahanama - 188 (Pasan Devinda 21, Gehan Sanjeewa 49, A Wickramasinghe 24, Buddhika Kaushalliya 26, Dulanjana Senevirathne 20, Satchith Pushpakumara 4/43, Thilan Nimesh 2/48 and 111 - Pavan Devinda 26, Janidu Lakshan 22, S Kaushalliya 32 n.o, Shanuka Dulaj 4/26, Thilan Nimesh 2/45).

Prince of Wales - 274/8 (Shanuka Dulaj 93, Hasitha Lanka 47, Janeesha Fernando 48, Satchith Pushpakumara 24, Nayana Prabath 2/42, Dinuka Chamath 3/57 and 31/2 - Kusal Mendis 20).
