Photography competition and exhibition for Women’s Day

The Lanka Prabhalekhika Sansadaya will conduct their sixth photography competition and exhibition, Digesiya Netha Randi Roo from March 8 to 10 at the J D A Hall, Albert Crescent, Colombo 7.

The event has been organize to celebrate World Women’s Day which fall on March 8 and will only accept photographs captured by female photographers. There will be two main competition categories in Open Colour and Open Monochrome where an individual can submit maximum five photographs for each category contest.

An entry fee of Rs 300 for one category and Rs. 500 for both will be charged from each contestant and school students have been granted sanction from entry fees. School competitors must submit the approval of their Principals along with their photographs.

The closing date for applications is February 24 and a veteran panel will select the photographs in order to include them in the exhibition. The best three contestants in each category will be awarded trophies and certificates.

Photographs can be sent through post to No. 170 Kollonnawa road, Dematagoda, Colombo 9 or handed over to Organizing Committee members at different locations in Colombo, Battaramulla, Kandy, Kohuwala, Maharagama, Kurunegala and Kollupitiya. For further information call 071-4052192, 071-4452322.
