Rahula through to pre-quarters

Rahula College defeated S Thomas' College Mt Lavinia to qualify for
the pre-quarter finals of the under-13 division three cricket tournament
earlier this week. S Thomas' hosted the group H final at Mt Lavinia.
On being asked to bat first they put on 118 runs in 40 overs. Pasindu
Nuwan 3/19, Chalaka Dilshan 2/07 and Asanka Nalinda 2/18 bowled well
while Sarith Lihinikaduwa resisted with an unbeaten 25.
Rahula surpassed the required runs in 30.4 overs with five wickets in
hand. Skipper Hasitha Jayaweera led the run chase with 65 runs off 84
balls with a dozen boundaries.
