Major honours for Mahinda

Mahinda College, Galle beat Sri Sumangala College, Panadura on first innings by 49 runs in their inter-school under 19 cricket match played at Kalutara.

Sumangalians taking the first lease were all out for 152 runs with Navodya Vidanagamage making the top score of 42 runs while Chalana de Silva had a good bowling spell of 5 for 42 and in reply Mahindians declared at 201 for 6 with skipper Nirwantha Theekshila scoring an elegant 80 runs and Chalana de Silva too contributed 40 runs and in their second essay at the close homestens were 76 for 3.
