Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala took the major honours in their
inter-school cricket match against St. Sylvester's College, Kandy, which
ended in a draw at Kurunegala yesterday.
Devans were able to get their opponents dismissed for a paltry 96.
For the Devans Banuka Ranasinghe top scored with a fluent 82 which had 8
hits to the ropes. He was supported by Charith Ratnayake who made 53
with 7 fours.
Sylvesterians off spinner Dushan Malalasena bowled well to capture 5
for 76.
Maliyadeva 267 for 9 decl. In 64 overs Charith Ratnayake 53 Kavindu
Dissanayake 17, Banuka Ranasinghe 82, Tharusha Rajaguru 33, Dushan
