Bruce Ogilvy of ICS in Sri Lanka

Bruce Ogilvy, the International Vice-President of The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, (ICS) UK is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka to

participate as the Chief Guest at the 19th Annual Awards Ceremony of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Sri Lanka, scheduled to be held today at the Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel from 6.00 pm onwards.

The ‘Annual Awards Ceremony of the ‘ICS’ Sri Lanka Branch is an important and a much looked forward to event in the local shipping almanac wherein; Diplomas, Membership Certificates and medals are conferred on the successful candidates who qualify the annual international examination conducted by the ICS London.

Traditionally, the elite of the Shipping Community at the levels of CEO’s; MD’s; Senior Executives and the hierarchy from the Sri Lanka Ports Authority and the Shipping Ministry form the audience besides the award winners.

The ‘Annual Awards Ceremony’ features as an important, the most looked forward to and the most colorful event in the local shipping almanac attended by the Members of the Diplomatic Missions in Sri Lanka as Guests of Honour and the elite of the local shipping community as special invitees. Besides the Diplomas; ‘Membership’ Certificates and medals which are conferred on the successful candidates who qualify the annual international examination conducted by the ICS London; ‘Special Awards’ are presented to the ‘Best Shipping Agent for Customer Services’ in the key trade sectors from Colombo,USA,Europe, Mediterranean, Red Sea and the Gulf, Indian Sub Continent and Inter-Asia Sectors.
