Commonwealth Secretary General Kamalesh Sharma, who is on a four day visit to Sri Lanka held cordial discussions with Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa after visiting the Parliament complex yesterday.

Secretary General Sharma was received by Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa and Deputy Speaker Chandima Weerakkody on arrival in Parliament. Director and Head of the Commonwealth Secretary General's Office Simon Gimson and Political Division Director Amitav Banerji also accompanied Secretary General Sharma on his visit to Parliament.

The delegation was taken on a tour of the Parliament Lobby by the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker. The visit to Parliament was highly appreciated by the delegation. After having talks with Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa, the Commonwealth Secretary Generalsigned the visitors book in Parliament.
