New HSBC CEO Patrick Gallagher
HSBC has appointed new CEOs for its Bahrain, Korea, Sri Lanka and
Maldives operations. After five successful years of spearheading HSBC’s
operations in Sri Lanka and Maldives, Nick Nicolaou will be succeeded by
Patrick Gallagher as Chief Executive Officer for HSBC Sri Lanka and
Maldives on April 30,2013. Martin Tricaud, currently Managing Director,
Global Head of Multinationals, Global Banking and Markets, will succeed
Matthew Deakin as President and Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Korea.
Deakin will become Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bahrain, replacing
Patrick Gallagher
Gallagher begins his role as Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Sri
Lanka and Maldives on April 30, 2013 subject to regulatory approval.
Gallagher joined the HSBC Group in 1989 and has worked in a variety of
corporate banking roles in Hong Kong, Switzerland, Vietnam, Indonesia
and the UK. He was appointed to his present role as CEO of HSBC Bahrain
in November 2009.
