Halil Sahin receives underwater polishing from Colombo Engineering

The bulk carrier Halil Sahin which was laid-up in Kakinada India for
87 days and recently chartered by Tamp Maritime Enterprises of Greece
contacted Kiran Atapattu the Chief Operating Officer of Colombo
Engineering Services when the ship was taken up for a new charter and
had to proceed to South Africa.
En route from India to Durban in South Africa the ship made an urgent
stop over in the open sea off Colombo as the chatterers required to
increase it's performance the underwater ship repair teams of Colombo
Engineering swept into action using state of the art underwater ship
polishing systems carried out an underwater polishing to the complete
underwater belley of the ship so as to increase it's speed and so as to
obtain a better performance on it's fuel consumption.
This is the sixth ship in succession of the same sophisticated
operation carried out by Colombo engineering in the recent months which
proves the quality services on offer now in Sri Lanka. |
