Rain interrupts cricket

D.S. Senanayake College, Colombo were 191 for 6 before heavy rain
stopped play in their inter school cricket match against St. Anthony's
College which began at Katugastota yesterday. The match will be
continued today at 10 a.m.
Due to wet ground conditions following the previous day's rain the
match got under way only at 11.30 a.m.
D.S. Senanayake College batted with aggressive while the Antonian
bowlers bowled their overs quickly. The visiting team moved up to 191
for 6 in 53 overs when a heavy shower which came down at 3.30 p.m. put
paid to chances of any further play.
The umpires after two inspection called off play at 4.30 p.m.
