BOC beat CPC
Bank of Ceylon (BOC) qualified for the finals of the Twenty20 cricket
tournament organized by Nationalized Services Cricket Association of Sri
Lanka(NSCASL) when they beat Ceylon Petroleum Corporation(CPC) by 9
wickets in their division two semi final match played recently.The BOC
team was captained by Udaya Imalsha.
CPC : 65 in 12.4 overs (A.H.M.Chaminda 21, Dilshan Gunasekara
11, Nuwan Samarasinghe 12, W.C.N.K.Fernando 4 for 5, S.K.S.Saluka 3 for
9, Udaya Imalsha 2 for 27)
BOC : 66 for 1 in 7.3 overs (W.L.N.K.Fernando 39, Arjuna
Bandara 14 n.o., Ravi Arsakulasuriya 4 n.o.)
Second win for BOC
Bank of Ceylon Sports Club chalked up another victory in the
Nationalised Services Veterans T20 Tournament 2013 organized by NSCASL
beating Sri Lanka Ports Authority(SLPA) by 8 wickets in the match played
recently.The Champion BOC team was led by Kumara Kurukulasooriya.
Sent into bat first, Sri Lanka Ports Authority scored 145 runs for 7
in 20 overs.Shantha Kumarasinghe (33), Lasantha Perera (28) and Kelum
Ratnasooriya (27) were the main contributors for SLPA.Udaya Imalsha was
pick of the bowlers with 2 for 22.
In reply, Bank of Ceylon hammered a bold 149 runs for 2 in 18.2 overs
with the help of Skipper Kumara Kurukulasooriya(61), Arjuna Bandara (41
n.o.) and Madhawa Dissanayake (33 n.o.)
SLPA : 145 for 7 in 20 overs (Shantha Kumarasinghe 33,
Lasantha Perera 28, Kelum Ratnasooriya 27, Udaya Imalsha 2 for 22)
