St Anthony’s College, Katugastota gained first Innings win by one run
over Dharmaraja College, Kandy in their cricket fixture concluded
yesterday.
Sachin Bulathsinhala, the Anthonian Skipper performed well in batting
and bowling when he scored 53 in addition to his bowling feat of 8 for
36 runs. He associated in a partnership of 44 for the 8th wicket with
Charles Praveen which enabled them to overcome the Dharmaraja total of
44 by 1 run when they were 145 all out in their 1st innings.
Deneth Lantra of Dharmaraja had an all-round performance in the 2nd
innings when he scored 41 and took 4 wickets for 12 runs.
Dharmarja 1st innings 144 all out in 55.4 overs and 127 all out in
45.3 overs.
