No visa for IBA members if planning to intervene in SL’s internal
issues

The impeachment process against former Chief Justice Dr Shirani
Bandaranaike, carried out fully in line with Constitutional provisions,
is 100 percent an internal matter of the country.
International Bar Association (IBA) members will not be provided visa
if their intention is to question the country's internal and
constitutional matters, Mass Media and Information Minister Keheliya
Rambukwella said.
Responding to a question by a journalist at the Cabinet press
briefing at the ministry auditorium yesterday, the minister said they
would be allowed to come to the country for any other purpose such as to
spend a holiday or tour, but no space would be provided for them to
intervene into the internal matters of the country. |
