Seafood delicacies on the Coast

Everyone loves dining under the stars, listening to the waves
crashing softly to the shore and of course on a Full Moon night, no
place is greater than been on the beach with your loved one, friends or
even just you.
Well now you can experience this and a whole lot more at the newest
restaurant to make waves on beach located down Wasala Road, Dehiwela
which is none other than The Coast.
This new restaurant is the brainchild of Narendhra Seelantha and
Chethika Karunaratne who are the co-proprietors of the place. Chethika
hosted a couple of media personnel and friends to have a first hand
experience on the new location, food and of course wonderful ambiance.
Taking us on a tour into the mangroves of the place, Chethika showed
us how they have allocated space for private dining, family gathering,
engagement parties or other events keeping to the natural beauty of the
place. Open for both lunch and dinner, the wooden menu showcases a list
of seafood dishes, meat, rice, soups to salads, dessert and chilled
beverages.
Chethika added that their seafood delicacies are fresh off the fisher
folks who go fishing daily and their cuisine ranges from Chinese,
Italian and our very own Sri Lanka recipes. Apart from lunch and dinner,
there are the ones who love to just come sit by the beach, enjoy the
waves, have an icy juice or cocktail and watch the sun sink into the
ocean while leaving spots of sparkles in the night sky.
The Coast is home to not just open to local guests but to foreign
nationals and tourists who love to explore the beaches of the country
and of course find a spot to relax and take a cool dip into the ocean.
After a great show of fireworks and we began to chit chat as we were
served our dinner one really doesn’t feel the time flying when you are
with a great company, interesting topics to talk about and simple bliss
to accompany the ambiance on the Coast. |
