Prelates praise Hulugalle

Media Centre for National Security Director General Lakshman Hulugalle has rendered a memorable service to the country and nation, Most Ven Udugama Sri Buddharakkhita Mahanayake Thera of the Asgiriya Chapter said.

Media Centre for National Security Director General Lakshman Hulugalle called on Most Ven Udugama Sri Buddharakkhita Mahanayake Thera and Most Ven Tibbotuwawe Sri Sidhartha Sumangala Mahanayake Thera

The prelate was delivering an anusasana when Hulugalle called on him at the Asgiriya Viharaya in Kandy to receive his blessings and present his autobiography Lakshman.

Most Ven Udugama Sri Buddharakkhita Mahanayake Thera said when sinister forces carried on a misinformation campaign to tarnish the country's image abroad, Hulugalle ably carried out a counter campaign to defend the country and build up its honour and prestige as a sovereign nation.

He said Hulugalle is a proud son of Sri Lanka on whom any government could depend and rely for a sincere and honest service to the country.

Hulugalle also called on Most Ven Tibbotuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Mahanayake Thera of the Malwatte Chapter at the Malwatte Viharaya in Kandy and presented a copy of his book after receiving his blessings.

Earlier, he visited the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy and paid homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic.
