Independence Day celebrations at Koggala Beach Hotel
Koggala Beach Hotel celebrated Independence Day in style, with the
participation of their guests, most of whom decided to wear the
traditional costumes of Sri Lanka.
One of the repeater guests, Hartmut Bulk from Germany, said that Sri
Lanka was one of the few countries in the world that celebrate
Independence Day in a big way and was fascinated with it.
He also said that he was keen on the Sri Lankan President's official
attire and spent nearly US $ 100 to sew a similar kit in Habaraduwa.
He said that he had been visiting Sri Lanka since 2004 and the
country had seen a remarkable progress. "The highway is a boon to
Southern tourism and the airport is very clean," he said.
Commenting on the development of the hotel, he said that the
facilities as well as the services too had improved tremendously.
