Kalani Palama to be staged
Kalani Palama, directed by R R Samarakoon and produced by Priyantha
Ranjan will be staged on January 29 at 8.30 am and 11 am at the
Ratnapura town hall and on February 2 at 6.30 pm at the Provincial
Council hall, Kurunegala. The cast includes Ramya Wanigasekera, Sanjeewa
Upendra, Prasannajith Abeysooriya, Geetha Kanthi Jayakody, Thilak Kumara
Rathnayake, Prasad Sooriyaarachchi, Niluka Rekhani, Kamal Jayakody,
Tharanga Bandara, Samson Gomas, R M Abeynayake, Samantha Kumara Gamage,
Dimuthu Chinthaka along with Madhani Malwatta and Anusha Dissanayake.
Choreography by Wasantha Wittachchi, Kumara Galahitiyawa and Upul
Mahanama, stage management by Priyantha Ranjan and assisted by Anushka
Vithanage and Chandima Samarasinghe. Prompting done by Nilanka Sandamali.
Lighting by Wasantha Kumara, stage decorations by Lionel Bentharayan and
stage equipments by Rohana Hewavitharana.

Balloth Ekka Be at S De S Jayasinghe theatre
Balloth Ekka Be, the most popular stage drama written and directed by
Ravindra Ariyarathne which is loved by many audiences will stage on
Sunday (February 3) at 3.30 pm and 6.45 pm at Dehiwala S De S Jayasinghe
theatre.
Balloth Ekka Be will be starred with renowned artistes such as Wijaya
Nandasiri, Roshan Pilapitiya, Gihan Fernando, Kumara Thirimadura and
Anusha Dissanayake.
Music will be by Shantha Peiris, background creations by Luvoline
Vandawall and stage management will be by Asoka De Soyza and Shantha
Udayakumara.
Balloth Ekka Be is produced by Asle J.Lanka computer training
institute while Jude Srimal is the main organizer.
Tickets are available at Sarasavi book shops, Dehiwala, Nugegoda and
Piliyandala.
Handicrafts exhibition at the Hikgaswatta Junior Vidyalaya

A handicrafts and art exhibition of a different nature was held
recently at Hikgaswatta Junior Vidyalaya, Kuruwita in which exhibits of
disabled children, their mothers and of their advisor teacher were on
display.

This was well organized under the instructions of the Head Teacher
and Advisor-Teacher, Nirmala Perera who was a horticulturalist and an
artist.
Most of the exhibits were made of using locally available raw
materials while the clergy and laymen admired the exhibition alike.
