Lions Club of Wadduwa launched a Haritha Hetak programme at
Kalapugama area recently under Lions Clubs International District 306 A1
Governor (Dr) Upali Jayawardene’s theme for Environmental friendly
Agricultural promotion.
Sixty pioneers selected for the Programme were provided with planting
material (plants & seeds) and instructions for extensive harvests.
This will be followed-up till pioneers’ first harvest to make them
guide other cultivators in the area.
The Programme was launched under auspices of District Secretary
Chandana Jayalal at which the District Governor Lion (Dr) Jayawardene
was in attendance with other District Coordinators and line cabinet
members. Here in the pictures are President Lions Club of Wadduwa, Lion
Indunil Perera and the Secretary,Lion Kamal Gamini Perera.
