Sanath tipped to be appointed Chairman of Selection Committee

Former Sri Lanka Test captain Sanath Jayasuriya is tipped to be appointed as the Chairman of the National Selection Committee.

Jayasuriya who came into the limelight when he was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the 1996 Wills World Cup, represented Sri Lanka with distinction for almost two decades and also captained the Sri Lanka Test team from 1999 to 2003.

He at present, a Member of Parliament for Matara District.
