Lahiru scores 86 for Nugawela Central

Lahiru Samarakoon scored an aggressive 86 with 4 sixes and 10 fours
for Nugawela Central College to help them to total 266 all out on the
opening day of their schools Under 19 cricket tournament match against
Teldeniya National School, Karaliyadde which began at Nugawela
yesterday. The match will be continued today at 9.30 am.
At close Teldeniya National School had replied with 71 for 4 and need
a further 95 to avoid the follow on. Lahiru Samarakoon in all batted for
66 balls and was involved in a third wicket stand of 80 with Dananjaya
Abeyratne who made 27. As it is Nugawela Central are strongly placed and
look set for an outright win.

Dissanayake 48, Dananjaya Abeyratne 21, Lahiru Samarakoon 86,
Chathuranga Jayakoddy 43, F S Bandara 4 for 69, S Nawaratne 3 for 58).
