Biyagama PS budget passed

The Budget 2013 of the Biyagama Pradeshiya Sabha, was unanimously passed at a special meeting presented recently by PS Chairman Ananda Ganepola (UPFA). According to estimates, the general revenue was Rs. 16,11,65,000, including capital grants and recurring and capital expenditure which was Rs. 16,11,13,000. The surplus was Rs. 52,000.

The Chairman said that he was happy to present the second Budget of the Biyagama PS under the UPFA administration after nine years of UNP rule.

UPFA and UNP members voted for the budget. The budget which was proposed by Iroshan Chathkara (UPFA) and seconded by Jinadasa Gamage (UPFA), was unanimously passed.

Opposition Leader Prasanna Sampath (UNP) also spoke.
