'Friends' help resettled

The Security Forces Headquarters in Jaffna, distributed fishing nets valued at Rs 700,000 among the newly resettled villagers for their upliftment.

The 515 Brigade of Kankesanthurai, arranged a donation of fishing nets for fishing families of Senthankulam in Naguleshvaram.

Seventeen fishing nets had been distributed among the families during a brief function held at Senthankulam.

The donation was sponsored by 'Friends,' a Non Governmental Organization functioning in the North.

Representatives of 'Friends,' Civil Administrative officials and distinguished persons in the area attended the function.
