Indian selling textiles nabbed

An Indian national was arrested while selling textiles illegally in Kalavanchikudi on Monday. The suspect was in Sri Lanka on a tourist visa. The Police Special Task Force seized 33 shalwars worth around Rs 35,000 from his possession at the time of the arrest.

The suspect is a resident of Tamil Nadu.

He was arrested at Kaludavali 03, Kalavanchikudi. The suspect was arrested by the STF led by Sub Inspector M V J C Amaradasa on a tip - off to the Kalavanchikudi STF camp.

The suspect and the productions were handed over to the Kalavanchchikudi camp for further investigations.

An Indian woman selling sarees illegally in Kalmunai was arrested by the Police Special Task Force last week. The suspect who had 27 sarees in her possession, is a resident of Thiruchchirapalli, Virudunagar, Madurai, Tamil Nadu. She was arrested at Kattangi Chenakudirippu, Kalmunai. She was arrested by a group of STF personnel attached to the Kalavanchchikudi STF camp.
