Sports material being distributed by Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa

Sports material and equipment were distributed among youths at the Kilinochchi Youth Service Council recently.

National Youth Service Council for Northern Province Director Sarath Chandrapala presided over the ceremony to hand over the items.

Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa and Northern Province Governor G A Chandrasiri participated as chief guests.

USAID Programme Manager Don Keidin and National Youth Service Council Chairman Lalith Piyum Perera were special guests.

Rs 9 million worth sports equipment were distributed to 132 youth clubs in the four divisional secretariats of Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu and Mannar districts.

Kandy Youth Service Council and Colombo Youth Service Council staged cultural items.

Kilinochchi District Government Agent Roobavathy Ketheeswaran, high ranking army officials and Youth Service Council members also participated.
