One of the key factors to the success of this company lies in
identifying the needs of the grass-root level farmers. For the
convenience of small-scale farmers, their products have been converted
into smaller pack sizes, whilst ensuring the stringent quality standards
of the suppliers. According to the Management, their highest achievement
over the years is being able to carry out the re-packing of the products
as well as formulate our own brand of Vitamin & Mineral Premixes, under
the brand name "FarmStar", in their own factory complex.
Although starting as a very small business, Farmchemie has always
been quality conscious and has looked out for ways and means to enhance
services. Recognising the need of educating the farming community to
uplift standards, Farmchemie started conducting a series of awareness
programmes islandwide.
These were a resounding success as the farmers who were able to find
solutions to their problems and also broaden their knowledge.
In July 2002, Farmchemie (Private) Limited was incorporated in Sri
Lanka as a limited liability company and commenced its operations on a
very small scale. Farmchemie is registered under the Dept. of Animal
Production and Health as an Importer and Distributor of Veterinary
Pharmaceuticals Feed Additives and Biologicals.
To fulfill their primary objective of supplying inputs essential for
the Livestock and Agriculture sectors, only the premium quality products
from prominent suppliers such as INVESA of Spain, NUTRISTAR of France,
DYNTEC of Czech Republic, VETERINA of Croatia, DEGUSSA of Germany,
HUVEPHARMA of Bulgaria and CEVA of France have been selected.
During the past ten years, Farmchemie has been developing a quality
range of Veterinary Pharmaceuticals, Feed Additives, Biologicals and
Poultry equipment and this implementation of product introduction
scheme.
The Chief Guest, will be the Director General of Department of Animal
Production & Health, Dr. W.K. de Silva.
