Floating restaurant takes to waters
Demi HEWAMANNA
Ever wanted to getaway on a cruise where you could get yourself lost
in scenery and peaceful tranquility of the surroundings around you with
someone special or your family and also make sure it’s affordable and
everything you need for just a little while and not too far away from
home.
Another boat restaurant joins in on the lake of Diyawanna Waters for
family, private functions or even some time on your own. The floating
restaurant was opened by Defence Secretary Gothabaya Rajapaksa about 3
weeks ago. This was built by the Sri Lanka Navy and if fully operated by
them.
It can accommodate 40 people and is perfect for intimate gatherings
such as small weddings.
The deck supports a kitchenette, a bar, washrooms and of course a
great service team from Water’s Edge banquet to serve up some good food.
This cruise for two hours and guests get the chance to see bird watching
and as the sun sets, see how the night comes alive in the city of
Battaramulla.
This is truly a relaxation spree and one really would not feel where
the time goes when floating in the waters. |
