New CEO for Softlogic Finance

Softlogic Finance PLC announced the appointment of Nalin Wijekoon as Chief Executive Officer of the company with effect from February 1, 2013. Wijekoon will succeed Mayura Fernando who has resigned.

Commenting on the appointment of the new CEO/Director, the Chairman of Softlogic Finance PLC, Ashok Pathirage said, "We are delighted to have Nalin Wijekoon as our new Chief Executive Officer/Director.

The company has made significant progress since coming under the Softlogic umbrella over two years ago, and is poised to perform strongly in the year's ahead, taking advantage of the tremendous growth opportunities in the country. Nalin's extensive expertise in the leasing industry and solid business skills will certainly be an asset to Softlogic Finance and I am confident that he will steer the company to be amongst the leading institutions in the industry.

Wijekoon was previously Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the company and joined Softlogic Finance (then Capital Reach Leasing Ltd) in 2005.

The company also announced the appointment of Shihan Nanayakkara as Chief Operating Officer with effect from February 1, 2013.

He holds an MBA from Post Graduate Institute of Management (University of Sri Jayewardenepura) and is an Associate of the Institute of Bankers, Sri Lanka. Shihan was previously DGM Operations of the company and counts over 20 years experience in the financial services sector. He joined Softlogic Finance in September 2011 and was previously with Seylan Bank, Nations Trust Bank and ICICI Bank.

Softlogic Finance has made tremendous progress over the past two years with the Softlogic brand of dynamism now infused to the Financial Services Sector.
