Thurstan struggle for runs - 107/9

Thurstan College struggled to score 107 for nine in the end of the first days play in their under 19 division one match against D.S.Senanayake College yesterday.

The match started late due to the waterlogged outfield.

After play started at 2.10 pm, The Thurstanites found run making difficult and consumed 42.3 overs to make 107 for nine.Ramidu Kumarasinghe (30 not out) and Kavindu Kulasekara (22) were the main contributors.Supun Madusanka bagged four wickets for 12 while Binura Fernando captured three for 40.

Ananda Vs Dharmapala

Ananda has scored 78 for four wickets in 32.2 overs in their under 19 cricket match against Dharmapala Vidyalaya Pannipitiya which began only at 3.30 pm due to a wet wicket. Thamalaka Athulathmudali made a well compiled 20. while Kushil Perera remained unbeaten on 27.

Zahira Vs Moratuwa MV.

Harsha Devinda (24) and Thilan Kavishka (22) saved the day for Moratuwa Maha Vidyalaya in their under 19 match against Zahira College, Maradana which began at Maradana yesterday.

Taking first lease of the wicket, the lads from Moratuwa made 104 thanks to the two fine knocks by Harsha and Thilan .Wasim Sinnan (four for 30) and J.Ahamed (three for 54) were the main wreckers.

The Zahirians in reply had a fine 42 runs for two wickets by the close with Nasiq Nazeer remaining unbeaten on 22 runs.
