No health issue in Matale

All Divisional Secretariat Divisions in the Matale district have been affected by floods and land slides. Rattota, Matale, Ukuwela and Naula Weve have been badly affected, but health issues were totally controlled, said Matale District Medical officer Dr. Lalith Disanayake.

He said preventive and curative steps were taken and chlorinating programmes began as soon as the camps were opened. Chlorine tablets were distributed among the displaced. No cases of diarrhoea or food poisoning have been recorded, he said.
