ETISALAT partners EDEX Expo 2013 as Gold sponsor for 10th
anniversary edition

One initiative on an e-platform, ‘Web Patashala’ has impacted the
improvement of education in rural schools by using mobile technology and
web based applications.
“Web Patashala, an online, e-learning tool allows students and
teachers to access educational material from the national syllabus,
alleviating certain constraints to learning and gaining information.
Etisalat donated notebook PCs with Web Patashala to 342 national schools
around the island to give a boost to the project, enabling these
students greater access to educational material, whilst increasing the
capacity and capability of the teachers”, informs Ratnayake.

communities via EDEX and will provide opportunities to youth to embrace
technology and fulfill their ambitions.
