The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sri Lanka Netball Federation which is administered by an interim committee at present will be held on January 24, 2013, sports ministry media sources revealed.

Approved by the sports minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage the AGM will be held at National Sports Science Institute at Independence Avenue where new office bareres will be elected for next two years. The AGM is held in accordance with the authority vested in the Sports Minister by the 40 (A) sentence of the 252/8 gazette on 1977.2.17 under the 41 chapter of the 1973/25 sports act.

The Sports Minister has granted amnesty to district associations that had been disqualified to cast vote at the AGM as many of the district associations have been inactive or lethargic in terms of continuous operation.

Handing over of nominations for the president, deputy president, secretary, treasurer, five vice presidents, Assistant secretary, Assistant treasurer, tournament secretary and deputy tournament secretary and the post of coordinator in the upcoming AGM will close on January 4 at 12 noon.
