1000 Feet of Hope

1000 Feet of Hope by Faiza Khan (2011) will be screened on December 28 at 5.30pm at Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) auditorium, 16/2, Gregory's Road, Colombo 7.

1000 Feet of Hope is on an artificial low-cost limb invented by an illiterate craftsman - the Jaipur Foot that has given a new lease of life to thousands in India. Now it makes its way to Jaffna, Sri Lanka where the team attempts to fit one thousand limbs in one month. The film follows the journey of this group as they continue to forge new medical boundaries and break political ones.
