Employees' commitment determines institutional success -

An institution becomes stronger with the dedication and commitment of
its employees. The employees of the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd
(ANCL) have made a vital contribution to develop Lake House. The
contribution by the staff during the last five six years should be
appreciated, ANCL Chairman and veteran journalist Bandula Padmakumara
said.

Chairman Padmakumara was addressing a ceremony at Lake House to
distribute school books among ANCL employees' children yesterday. Lake
House spent Rs 5 million for this. The chairman said employees have
worked beyond expectation during the past few years.
"Their dedication enabled the ANCL management to launch new projects
for the development of the institution and employees' welfare. The
employees working for the development of the institution have the right
to experience the benefits of the institution's profits", he said.
The ANCL offered free exercise books during the last nine years and
this is the 10th time, he said.
"The journalists of the institution render a vital service to make
the public aware of the country's development.
"It helps Lake House become the pioneer media institution of the
country," he said.
ANCL Editorial Director Seelaratne Senarath, Legal Director Rasanga
Harischandra, General Manager Abhaya Amaradasa, Chief Administrative
Officer (Editorial) Rohana Aryaratne, Personal Manager Champika Galhena,
Circulation Manager Sunil Sendanayake and Silumina Editor Karunadasa
Sooriyarachchi were also present.
